​About Boston Community Pediatrics ​

Boston Community Pediatrics (BCP) is starting a movement to change the way healthcare is delivered to all children, regardless of income. Join us!

BCP is a nonprofit pediatric private practice, the first of its kind in Massachusetts. Its mission is to bring equity to pediatric healthcare by offering underserved patients direct access to their primary care provider through traditional medical office visits, telemedicine, and mobile medical services while providing comprehensive, prevention-oriented healthcare, care navigation services, and integrated behavioral health services.

About the Mental Health Clinician

The position requires the ability to think creatively and problem-solve with grace and collaboration. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an integrated team of clinicians, pediatric providers, and family partners in order to change the way traditional medical and mental health care is provided to pediatric patients, predominantly with low income. The mental health clinician will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the BCP team as well as supervise externs and work in the community. The Mental Health Clinician will:

 

  • Provide clinical and case management services for pediatric patients

  • Conduct mental health evaluations and assessments

  • Provide ongoing counseling, treatment, and intervention

  • Maintain a caseload of patients and ensure that documentation is recorded in the electronic medical record system.

  • Work collaboratively with family members, medical team, school supports, and external mental health providers to ensure high-quality care for the patients that you’re working with

  • Support the behavioral health team in planning and implementing mental health groups and community workshops

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility and a willingness to do what needs to be done

  • A good sense of humor and a collaborative spirit

  • LICSW, LMHC, or licensed psychology degree

  • Experience working in an integrated behavioral health setting is preferred

  • Experience working with children and adolescents
