PRESS RELEASE: Boston Community Pediatrics RAISES $1.5M TO SUPPORT “THE BCP WAY” OF DELIVERING HEALTHCARE
BCP honors its community and celebrates its next chapter
BOSTON, October 16, 2026 – Boston Community Pediatrics (BCP), the first non-profit pediatric private practice in the Commonwealth, hosted its annual gala, which raised over $1.5 million to support BCP’s transformative model while celebrating its community and the innovation and impact that lies ahead.
Since opening its doors in November 2020, BCP has grown from a small start-up to a leading health care innovator, bringing fully-integrated pediatric health care to nearly 2,000 children each year, most of whom are living with low income.
BCP’s gala, Voices From the Front Lines: Where Care and Community Meet, was held on October 15, 2026, at the SoWa Power Station, where BCP welcomed more than 575 community members–including civic and healthcare leaders, community activists, health equity champions, and more. Throughout the inspirational evening, staff, community leaders, and patients shared their voices and brought guests behind the scenes to experience how BCP is changing healthcare, The BCP Way.
BCP shared the 6 core principles that guide their work and empower BCP to define and invest in health broadly, to improve children’s access to care, and to build collaborative, trusting relationships with families, providers, and communities alike. As BCP's Founder, Dr. Robyn Riseberg reflected:
“The BCP Way helps us find our way back to what healthcare can and should be. It removes the bureaucracy and brings us back to the humanity of healthcare, which is where we plan to stay.”
What’s more, The BCP Way prioritizes gathering the evidence needed to champion systems change. At a time of profound divestment in social and health care services, BCP’s novel model is consistently earning outstanding results and demonstrating the value of integrated, patient-centered healthcare.
With these successes, BCP is already working to bring The BCP Way to more children and families. At the event, Dr. Riseberg announced BCP’s plans to open an additional practice in the next year in Nubian Square, for the largest expansion of access in BCP’s history. She expressed deep gratitude to the organization’s supporters, noting that this next phase of growth is only possible through their commitment to health equity and justice.
